Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secured properly.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and mileage logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle clean and maintain a professional image at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 minor moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Experience in flatbed, dry van, or tanker preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
