Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to weight and balance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of the driver, team, and cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery times, traffic conditions, and potential delays.
- Adhere to company policies regarding customer service and professional conduct.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driverâs License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examinerâs Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no recent serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) is a plus.
