Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to designated destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Load and unload freight using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed.
