Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles over long distances and urban routes
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and maintain accurate delivery records
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries while maintaining optimal fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and logbooks in compliance with federal standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with California traffic laws and route navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts
- DOT-compliant medical card and TWIC card preferred
