Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) following DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes while maintaining strict delivery timelines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies
- Assist in training new drivers as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and Florida highways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekends
- Excellent time management and communication skills
