Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across Texas and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols during all transit
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging devices
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Handle secure cargo loading/unloading procedures at client sites
- Communicate proactively regarding route delays, weather conditions, or mechanical issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Must be 23+ years old with valid TWIC card (or ability to obtain)
