Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) for long-haul freight transport
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Plan efficient routes while meeting tight delivery deadlines
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs (ELR/ELD)
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips and report maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Secure and verify cargo to prevent damage during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and HOS compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills (GPS experience required)
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
