Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (53ft dry van) for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (ELD)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Operate in diverse weather conditions while maintaining on-time delivery
Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Michigan/Florida highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer ladders
- Basic smartphone/computer skills for ELD navigation
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
