Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Respond professionally to route changes and unexpected delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Atlanta metro area and Southeastern routes
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and hazmat handling (if applicable)
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
