Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance needs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while maintaining timely deliveries
- Secure and unload freight using proper loading techniques and equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic records for compliance
- Participate in ongoing safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling (HME certification preferred)
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with regional road networks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and irregular schedules as needed
