Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for timely local and regional deliveries
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Optimize routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency and meet tight deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and problem resolution
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and delivery updates
- Load/unload cargo safely using proper equipment and techniques
- Document delivery exceptions and communicate discrepancies to management
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Georgia roadways and delivery regulations
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overtime
