Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive and operate Class A or Class B commercial trucks to deliver cargo to designated locations.
- Cargo Handling: Properly load, secure, and unload freight to ensure goods arrive in pristine condition.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working order and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Route Planning: Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules, using GPS and maps to navigate efficiently.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, bills of lading, and logbooks (ELD) in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, etc., preferred but not always required for entry-level).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years.
- Medical Card: Current DOT medical card.
- Entry Level Experience: Previous truck driving experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with dispatch and clients.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods of time.
