Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely in Chicago metro area and regional routes
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Adapt to changing delivery schedules and routes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- 2+ years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago traffic patterns and regulations
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and navigation abilities
- Flexibility for overnight/weekend shifts
- Excellent customer service communication skills
