Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional deliveries and long-haul routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery schedules and maintain on-time performance
- Handle specialized freight including temperature-controlled and hazardous materials
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather conditions
- Utilize GPS technology for route optimization and real-time tracking
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Baltimore metropolitan area and East Coast corridors
- HazMat endorsement preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying climate conditions
