Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class-A commercial vehicles to transport goods within the DC metro area
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning
- Uphold exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs
- Report maintenance issues promptly to fleet management
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of DC metro area transportation routes
- Strong commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility to start shifts as early as 4:00 AM
- Valid TWIC card for port access (if applicable)
