Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to deliver goods to customers on time and in good condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading efficiently while adhering to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and maintain a clean driving record.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (Class A preferred for certain routes).
- Clean driving record (MVR check required; no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
