Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS and route optimization tools
- Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles (pre/post-trip checks)
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Complete accurate paperwork (logbooks, bills of lading, delivery confirmations)
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and traffic regulations
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays
- Experience with refrigerated or flatbed trailers preferred
