Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL required) for regional routes within Pennsylvania and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining accurate electronic logs and DOT compliance
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and report maintenance needs to ensure vehicle safety
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Implement defensive driving practices to maximize safety and efficiency
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs and company initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience or graduate from accredited CDL training program
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and HOS requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside assistance coordination
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Must be available for overnight regional runs (typically 2-3 nights per week)
