Responsibilities
- Operate long-haul trucks across designated routes while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Safely load/unload freight using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Follow all safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Collaborate with logistics team for efficient route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hazmat handling (if applicable)
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service aptitude
- Flexibility for occasional overnight travel
