Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A/B CDL) for long-haul routes across Texas and regional states
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Adhere to DOT regulations and HOS compliance protocols
- Load/unload freight with precision and maintain secure cargo practices
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and delivery
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Resolve minor mechanical issues and coordinate maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of hazardous materials (HAZMAT) certification preferred
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Strong attention to safety and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
