Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes in Baltimore, MD, and surrounding Virginia areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper securement of goods.
- Complete all necessary daily logs (DVIR), delivery receipts, and paperwork accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
