Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across assigned regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) compliance, and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading and route optimization
- Build strong relationships with clients and ensure on-time delivery excellence
- Document all delivery paperwork and maintain electronic logging systems
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Strong knowledge of Michigan roadways and regional geography
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips and weekend shifts
