Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on all road types.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo security and preventing damage.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B preferred, but candidates with a clean driving record and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
