Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment (forklift, straps, chains).
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with the appropriate endorsements (or willingness to obtain if Class B).
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills for paperwork.
- Willingness to learn and obtain necessary endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, etc.) for advancement.
- Physical stamina to perform duties including lifting and loading cargo.
