Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and tarps, ensuring load security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs (Electronic Logging Device - ELD) and all necessary documentation for cargo and delivery.
- Deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and partners.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, traffic conditions, and delivery updates.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B (CDL Training provided if you meet other requirements).
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples are a plus but not always required).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
