Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across the Washington DC metro area and beyond.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting as required.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid CDL Class A (or Class B with Tanker endorsement depending on role) or be willing to obtain one through our training program.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations.
- Must have a clean driving record and be drug-free.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
