Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, and delivery vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records of daily logs, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any route changes.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Uphold the company's high standards of customer service and professional appearance.
Qualifications
- A valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required; we also offer training for those with a learner's permit.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently for safety compliance.
- Basic math skills for calculating miles, fuel, and payments.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
