Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or Class B) to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance and proper maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight restrictions and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) compliance.
- Interact professionally with customers and vendors at delivery sites, resolving any issues efficiently.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a satisfactory driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional routes in San Jose and surrounding California areas.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and loading cargo.
