Responsibilities
- Securely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery records.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Current DOT Medical Card and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check clearance.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of local San Antonio routes and logistics hubs.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving freight as required.
