Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Adhere to HOS regulations and all federal/state transportation laws
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Secure cargo and ensure compliance with safety protocols during transit
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
- Utilize telematics systems for vehicle performance monitoring
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with hazmat or tanker endorsements preferred
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and experience with electronic logging devices
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
