Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles over long distances while adhering to FMCSA regulationsPlan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries across Texas and Georgia
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques to prevent damage
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time service
- Participate in ongoing safety training and compliance programs
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges proactively
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of over-the-road (OTR) trucking experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical examination
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices
- Basic navigation skills and proficiency with truck routing apps
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including overnight trips
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Drug-free workplace compliance required
