Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight to designated locations within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip for safety and mechanical soundness
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure timely delivery of time-sensitive cargo
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and local traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Familiarity with Washington DC traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
