Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (flatbed, dry van, refrigerated) for local/regional routes
- Complete daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Deliver freight on time while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and delivery
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time load updates and priority handling
- Document delivery confirmations and handle customer service interactions
- Maintain clean driving record and report any mechanical issues immediately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with LA metro routes and California traffic patterns
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement techniques
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Smartphone proficiency for mobile app usage
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
