Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is road-ready.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging device (ELD) compliance.
- Navigate efficiently to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and route changes.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (with appropriate endorsements).
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3-5 years (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, road signs, and safety regulations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Professional demeanor and a customer-service oriented attitude.
