Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
- Keep the truck cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required (or ability to obtain one).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no recent DUI or reckless driving violations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
