Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for local and regional routes within Massachusetts and New England
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation with tablet-based systems
- Adapt routes dynamically using real-time traffic and weather data
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for on-time delivery of time-sensitive freight
- Represent Express Logistics with professional customer service at client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work in variable weather conditions
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- DOT medical certification and TWIC card (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of Massachusetts highway regulations and hazmat basics
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening (mandatory)
