Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (box trucks or straight trucks) for local deliveries within Boston and surrounding areas
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize routes for efficient on-time deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL license (Class A preferred) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Boston metro area geography
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Smartphone with reliable data for daily reporting
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
