Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on regional and long-haul routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo protection and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients to ensure timely deliveries.
- Represent the company professionally at all times while on the road and at customer locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean driving record with no more than two preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
