Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes (50-100 miles daily)
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years recent tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with ELD devices and electronic logs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of Virginia and surrounding area roadways
- hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
