Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles along assigned routes throughout Greater Boston
- Plan optimal delivery schedules to maximize efficiency and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Load/unload packages with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures upon receipt
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL or equivalent commercial driver's license
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience with clean MVR
- Strong knowledge of Boston metro area streets and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Customer-focused communication abilities
- DOT medical certification current or obtainable
