Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on highways and local roadways.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) mandates.
- Ensure cargo security and integrity throughout the transit journey.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and status updates.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) in good standing.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable personal transportation for commuting to and from the terminal.
