Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Ensure the truck cabin and cargo area are kept clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo weighing up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Basic English proficiency for communication purposes.
