Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport loose materials (sand, gravel, rock) to and from job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the cab and truck bed clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving heavy dump trucks or commercial trucks.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, weight limits, and road safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and overtime.
