Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Trucks: Safely and efficiently drive commercial trucks over long distances (Over-The-Road).
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Cargo Handling: Load, secure, and unload cargo according to safety regulations and company standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of trip logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication with dispatch, shippers, and receivers.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- CDL Requirement: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Legal Status: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) rules, and logbook requirements.
- Endurance: Ability to work long hours and handle the physical demands of the job.
