Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/tractors) for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Coordinate with logistics team for efficient delivery scheduling
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Utilize GPS technology for route optimization and real-time updates
- Report maintenance issues and participate in fleet improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of North Carolina/East Coast highway systems
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Flexibility for overnight travel and irregular schedules
