Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods on designated routes while adhering to DOT regulations
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals and fuel efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer documentation for accountability
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and resolve route-related issues
- Collaborate with dispatch team to adjust routes based on real-time traffic conditions
- Train junior drivers on company procedures and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years commercial driving experience with clean driving record
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Proficiency with route planning software and GPS navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team coordination
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling (HazMat certification preferred)
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
