Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum circuits and algorithms optimized for superconducting and trapped-ion qubit architectures.
- Develop hybrid classical-quantum algorithms to leverage current quantum hardware limitations while maximizing computational output.
- Conduct rigorous performance analysis and error mitigation strategies to ensure algorithmic stability.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate algorithmic requirements into physical qubit control protocols.
- Publish research findings and contribute to the open-source quantum computing community.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers in quantum software development best practices.
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in quantum algorithm development.
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis.
- Experience with Python, C++, and cloud-based quantum computing services (IBM Quantum Experience, Amazon Braket).
- Familiarity with quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures.
