Responsibilities
- Safely transport time-sensitive medical specimens, blood products, and organs in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict chain-of-custody protocols for all medical materials
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time arrival at 15+ healthcare facilities
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness per medical transport standards
- Document delivery status and handle irregularities with immediate supervisor notification
- Train junior couriers on emergency protocols and medical transport best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical courier experience with clean driving record and CDL-B certification
- Current CPR certification and knowledge of biohazard handling procedures
- Exceptional time management skills with 100% on-time delivery rate in previous roles
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate hospital security protocols efficiently
- Proficiency with electronic logging systems and route optimization software
- Strong attention to detail with zero-error specimen handling record
- Valid Colorado driver's license and proof of commercial vehicle insurance
