Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive shipments using specialized containers
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and maintain electronic tracking systems
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and packaging materials
Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving or medical courier experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in GPS navigation and mobile communication systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of medical packaging requirements
