Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload shipments using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Maintain electronic logs and comply with Hours of Service requirements
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle performance concerns
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 3 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems
